Maria brings a wide breadth of life experience to her chosen career in real estate. Married for almost 15 years to her contractor husband she has absorbed tremendous knowledge of home remodeling and renovations, working on both a full gut rehab of her own personal residence and various investment projects in the area. Prior to that, Maria worked in marketing and agent development in the real estate industry before moving into her current role on the agent side. Raised on the North Shore, and a homeowner in the Evanston community, Maria is well-versed in what it is to build a life here, invest in, remodel, and profit from real estate in the area.
Knowledge of construction methods and their associated costs helps Maria guide her clients to making informed decisions about the condition of a property and the potential value a renovation or remodel could provide. "I aim to educate my clients on the fundamentals of home structure and cost/value of renovation projects, giving them a vision to see what could be so that they can confidently move forward with a sale or a purchase."
In order to be well versed on both sides of the transaction, Maria is consistently in tune with local transactions. "Our market is competitive and our inventory is limited and sometimes consists of outdated and older homes, but I don't let that dissuade my clients. I understand how to present homes beautifully, the cost to get there, the contractors to do the work, and the timing to come to market." For buyers, Maria and her team of professionals can assess the condition of a property, address any problems brought up in the inspection report, and determine the best course of action for her clients.
When she's not practicing real estate, Maria is most likely planning her next tropical vacation and dreaming about renovating her property on the island of Crete.
